Do you own an Apple device, maybe an iPhone or an iPad? Make sure you take full advantage of your device and its many great apps.
Barclays Pingit

#1 Barclays Pingit

  • Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Requires iOS 5 or later
  • Free
  • Version 1.11
  • Download here.

Top of the list is the Barclays Pingit. This app is a truly fantastic way of sending payments on your iPhone, iPad or iPod. You don’t need a Barclay’s account to send and receive money; you can simply register for a Pingit account and deposit money at a Barclays ATM, which will then let you send £750 and receive £5000 every day through your iPhone, iPad or iPod. You can also use it as an ATM finder. Perfect!

Number 2 on the list is one that will help you plan your mortgage payments or decide what mortgage to choose. You can also create ‘what-if’ scenarios to see how over-payments affect your balance, then watch the total length and cost go down. There is much more to this app as well, so it is definitely one to check out.

Finally, number 3 will help you check how much money you will have to pay in taxes using a simple calculator which gives you a quick estimate of the income tax and National Insurance contributions you can expect to be deducted from your pay each week or month. It also gives you a summary of these amounts over the year and shows how this money will be spent by the Government.
